Beth Waldman

Beth Waldman, J.D., M.P.H., previously served as a senior managing director at Bailit Health and is a nationally recognized expert on health care policy and program development and implementation, specializing in Medicaid and CHIP programs and coverage for the uninsured. At Bailit Health, Waldman led transformative initiatives across the country to expand access and improve care delivery for low-income individuals while advancing affordability through value-based purchasing. Her work included partnering with states and other stakeholders in policy development, program design, stakeholder facilitation, and implementation of Medicaid reforms. Waldman regularly guided states through complex managed care procurement processes and advised them on best practices in plan management and oversight. She joined ForHealth Consulting at the UMass Chan Medical School as the managing director of health care finance solutions in June 2026. Waldman earned a law degree from Boston College Law School and a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
