Ann S. O'Malley

Ann S. O’Malley, M.D., M.P.H., is a senior fellow at Mathematica Policy Research, where she leads research to expand patient access to high-value care and strengthen the comprehensiveness of care delivered by primary care practitioners and teams. A nationally recognized expert in primary care health services research, she evaluates innovative care models and partners with physicians and health care organizations to advance patient-centered care. She has co-led major evaluations for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation, including the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus Model, and has directed numerous studies on value-based care. Her work focuses on improving the uptake of evidence-based preventive services, reducing health care providers’ administrative burden, enhancing the use of health IT, and supporting primary care teams to implement more effective workflows. O’Malley earned an M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and an M.P.H. in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
