Bio: Douglas Noble, B.M.B.Ch., M.P.H., M.D.(Res), is a public health physician and honorary senior clinical lecturer in the Global Health, Policy and Innovation unit at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Before his current position, Noble worked as a clinical advisor to Sir Liam Donaldson, then the chief medical officer for England, where he helped research, write and manage three successive annual reports of the chief medical officer on the state of public health in England. Noble has also been a public health advisor to the U.K. Cabinet office as well as a medical officer for the World Health Organization. Noble has published 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the British Medical Journal and the Journal of the American Medical Association. Noble received his medical degree from University of Oxford, master's degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University, and research doctorate from Queen Mary, University of London.

Description: Noble's Harkness project will explore the perceptions of population health through a series of detailed case studies and interviews with leaders of accountable care organizations and government public health departments or similar agencies.
