Project: Impact of Insurance Coverage and Deprivation on Health and Health Care Use
Description: The objective of Hargreaves' project is to investigate the long-term health impact of access to healthcare in adolescence. He will also explore the degree to which healthcare variation in the U.S. and England results from effects of deprivation and provider factors. He will conduct quantitative analysis using longitudinal data on perceived barriers to accessing healthcare by adolescents (both financial and non-financial) and their subsequent health status in adulthood, as well as cross-sectional data on demographics, insurance status, and health care utilization in the U.S. and England.
